GE Foods and Your Health Tour: Barrie Ontario

Northern Organics and Yidya’s The Veggie Gourment are hosting an upcoming event in our community: the Genetically Engineered Foods and Your Health Cross-Canada Speakers’ Tour. The goal of the tour is to present a scientific point of view on the risks of genetic engineering to human health.

The tour features a scientist and an engineer: Dr. Thierry Vrain and Mr. Tony Mitra. Dr. Vrain is a retired soil biologist and genetic engineer, who after a 30-year tenure with Agriculture Canada, now speaks publicly about his concerns with the use of this technology in agriculture and how genetic engineering impacts human health. Dr. Vrain’s argument is science based, relying on published results of scientific studies. Many of his presentations are available on YouTube. Mr. Mitra is a retired Marine Engineer, a citizen journalist, and a blogger and podcaster who has interviewed scientists around the world as well as policy analysts and sustainable agriculture promoters, to raise public awareness on these issues.

Thierry and Mr. Mitra will be in Barrie Ontario at Vidya’s Veggie Gourmet Restaurant, Friday, November 14th, for a limited engagement. Join us on the 14th Of November for the GE Foods and Your Health and Wellness Dinner.

Includes a 3 course healthy delicious meal and presentation.
